Ellis Warner
Editor, hardware and workstation geometry
Ellis Warner edits A Better Posture and writes the hardware side of it: desks, chairs, monitor arms and the measurements that decide whether any of them help. He reads the specification sheet, the warranty and the returns policy in full before he reads a single review, because that is where the differences between two apparently identical products actually live.
His working rule is that a number beats an adjective. A chair listing that says "fully adjustable" tells you nothing; a chair listing that gives a 16 to 21 inch seat height range, a 250 lb rated capacity and a 12-year warranty on the gas lift tells you who it fits and how long it lasts. Where a manufacturer will not publish a figure, he says so in the guide rather than filling the gap with a guess. He does not accept product samples, and no manufacturer sees a guide before it publishes.
No product on this site has been physically tested by its writer, and no guide says otherwise. Picks come from specification sheets, warranty terms, published trials and owner reports at volume. Nothing here is medical advice.
